Nikki Bella: Evolution is about more than beating Ronda Rousey
Nikki Bella knows exactly how she would end Evolution — her standing victorious over Ronda Rousey with the Raw women’s title in hand. The champagne is on ice.
“I will be popping so many bottles. I’ll be like the Dodgers heading to the World Series backstage. I will be very happy and it would be a massive accomplishment,” Bella said in a phone interview when asked what a victory on WWE’s first all-women’s pay-per-view would mean for her career.
“I almost feel spoiled thinking about it and I have chills all over my body, like OK, Evolution main event. That’s historic, two historic things. I’ve never been in the main event of a pay-per-view, I beat [undefeated] Ronda Rousey, extremely historic, and then I become the Raw women’s champion. For me, it means more than you can imagine.”

Nikki Bella recently spoke with Metro.us on a wide variety of topics to help promote WWE Evolution this Sunday:
On this Sunday being the best performance of her career:
“A fan recently tallied it up. I think I’ve competed in well over 600 matches. I think she’s had like 24 matches in WWE. So that speaks for itself. This Sunday it’s going to be the best performance of my career, for sure. I’ll have my sister Brie in my corner, I have a new move set, and the Bellas always have a few tricks up their sleeves.”
On the characteristics needed to succeed in WWE:
“You have to blend it all together,. It’s charisma, it’s likeability. You have to bring something different to the table. The minute a woman walks out of that curtain it’s about how much she connects with that crowd. Does she get their attention? How well does she speak on the mic? It’s all about confidence, and I only started to get better when I just started being me.”
What sparked the idea of Twin Magic, and did you ever try Twin Magic when you were in school?
Nikki: We used it in elementary school the first time, and it really didn’t work. But when we went to college it worked, and it was golden. We were so excited about that. What actually sparked us using Twin Magic was Vince McMahon [head of WWE]. He came up with the idea when we were his first experience using identical twins in WWE. It then just became our thing, because it was so much fun. Continue reading The Bella Twins chat with LI students for Kidsday
Nikki Bella recently appeared on CBS Sports’ In This Corner podcast to talk WWE Evolution, and the former WWE Diva’s Champion had plenty to get off her chest. She talked about how unfair people are to women from the diva era of WWE, and why it’s ridiculous that people blame the competitors for the decisions made by corporate.

Nikki began her discussion by bringing up the origins of the term diva. “I was in so many meetings saying we’re going to make this mean something,” revealed Bella. “Make it powerful and strong and beautiful. It also gave us SmackDown women something to compete for. We were competing for nothing [at the time]. So, we were like ‘Yes! Let’s make this so strong and powerful!’ That’s what we made the Divas Championship into at that time. Something beautiful, if you look back you’ll see so many little girls wearing that Divas championship and they actually still do. They loved it. Nikki and Brie face off against The Merrell Twins in a HILARIOUS game of Celebrity! Which famous duo will come out on top?
After 12 years of dominating the WWE Women’s division, Nikki Bella will face Ronda Rousey in her biggest match ever this Sunday at WWE Evolution. This is the final piece to the #Bellalution.
Natalya and Nia Jax are celebrating their birthdays, so the Total Divas take a girls’ trip that gets real weird, real fast.
Not only does Natalya instigate a prank war with Lana (The Ravishing Russian gets the last word), but the girls all administer a surprise for the birthday girls. Paige’s is the most shocking — a “naked sushi” dinner where the girls eat off the body of a man. Nikki Bella’s is the most fun (a dance-off). But the most heartwarming surprise comes when Brie Bella flies Nattie and Nia’s mothers in for dinner.
Given that Nia’s mother missed her WrestleMania match, it’s enough to bring The Irresistible Force to tears. Really, the one downside is the persistent paparazzi who are hot on Nikki Bella’s tail, so she decides to play into it by “flirting” with the bartender/model-type the girls have hired for the weekend. So, that’s where those pictures came from.
Total Divas airs Wednesdays at 9/8 C on E!.
