There are a few things that Nikki Bella won’t leave home without, and it’s not her signature tank top with “Fearless” emblazoned across the chest.
The professional wrestler and star of “Total Divas” — Season 8 premieres on Sept. 19 — recently gave Yahoo Lifestyle a sneak peek inside her stunning Louis Vuitton Capucines sequin purse. Along with her smartphone and headphones, she keeps a pair of stylish Fendi sunglasses and a compact Louis Vuitton wallet in her bag. “I love this wallet since I switch purses out like no other, so I like to have a really small wallet,” she says.
The 34-year-old, who split from her fiancé, professional wrestler and actor John Cena, earlier this year, is also practical about what she puts in her purse. Bella stores a roll-on perfume in her bag not only to smell good but also avoid that dreaded perfume spillage. She also keeps a protein bar on hand. “Because I’m always on the go and I get hungry,” she says.
But the bulk of her bag reflects her passion for makeup. Along with black eyeliner and concealer, she keeps a makeup sponge stashed in her purse for quick touchups. “Not only do my sister and I cry-laugh a lot, but I also get oily,” shares Bella, who also stars in Total Bellas with twin sister Brie Bella.
The WWE superstar is also a big fan of lipstick and lip gloss. Although Chanel is a go-to lip gloss brand of hers, Bella also loves a good drugstore lip balm. “Chapstick is always a must,” she says. “And I like lipstick and a lip gloss ‘cause, you know, variety is the spice of life.”
The reclamation of WWE’s Brie Bella
First and foremost, Brianna Danielson is a mother.
Unlike most, however, she is also a WWE superstar, a job that is not only physically grueling in nature, but also brings with it a demanding travel schedule. Despite those factors, when she was approached to make a return to the world of professional wrestling, there wasn’t any hesitation – Brie Bella was ready to make a return to the ring.
“I’ve been sitting back as a fan of WWE watching these women do incredible things, making history, breaking barriers and I sat at home wanting to be a part of it,” Bella told Yahoo Sports. “When this opportunity came up, I just said yes without thinking.”
Bella, who alongside her sister Nikki form the Bella Twins team, initially stepped away from WWE after WrestleMania 32 in 2016. At the time, Bella decided to put her family first – she is married to WWE star Daniel Bryan (real name: Bryan Danielson) – leaving right as the company’s “Women’s Evolution” was about to kick into high gear. Nikki Bella is looking forward to all that life has to offer as she moves on to the next chapter of her life.
The Total Bellas star and WWE diva spoke with ET’s Kristen Gill at this year’s CurvyCon during New York Fashion Week, and said that the future holds “hopefully a lot of sparkle and shine,” two months after calling off her engagement to John Cena for a second time.
“I’m really enjoying being an entrepreneur [and] I’m very excited for my comeback at WWE,” Bella shared. “I just have this goal in my head of what I want to conquer as an independent woman and I’m going to get there. And I can’t wait to be on the cover of Forbes, so look out!” Continue reading Nikki Bella Says Her Future Has ‘a Lot of Sparkle and Shine’ Following John Cena Split
Twelve years ago, Nikki Bella and her identical twin sister, Brie, were working as waitresses at Hooters in their home state of California. Fast-forward to 2018 and the Bella Twins, as they’re commonly known, are WWE Superstars, reality TV favorites, and brands in and of themselves — with their own clothing line and wine label. It’s been a “12-year journey, which is crazy,” Bella tells Yahoo Lifestyle.
With a spotlight now seemingly perpetually fixed on her life, Bella understands the power she yields, not just as a businesswoman but as a role model. The reason she understands that so well is because as a young girl, it was her role model, Jennifer Lopez, who helped Bella to find her own confidence. “She literally changed my life,” Bella says.
In 1996, Lopez appeared on the cover of the very first issue of Latina magazine. “I remember her talking about her curves and being a Latina, and I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I go through that!’” Bella says. “I was going through puberty, and being like, ‘Why am I getting all these curves?’ She started to make me love it.”
“I remember being confident at a very young age, like, ‘Yeah this is what I’ve got,’” Bella adds. “And it was literally J.Lo that gave that to me.” Continue reading Nikki Bella on her journey from Hooters waitress to WWE Superstar (Yahoo Lifestyle)
